The training video for URCC12107: Evaluation of Psychoeducation for Cancer Patients Eligible for Clinical Trials his now available on the website.  You must view this training video prior to entering any patients on this study.  To access the video, LOG IN with your CCOP login and password.  Click on “Active protocols,” scroll down and click on “PSYCHED Study (URCC12107),” and scroll down and click on “Training Resources.”  Click on “12107 – Study Presentation” and a slide presentation will come up.  It  may take a few minutes to load.

All CRAs who will be participating in this study must complete this training.  After you have reviewed the slides, notify Libby Nagalski, and she will arrange to send study materials to your CCOP.  Once you have those, and URCC has your IRB approval, you may begin accrual.  

This study will open May 1, 2014.

URCC13059: GAP70+ Training materials PDF Print E-mail

Training materials and resources are now available for download. You will need to log in using your site login and password. Under the subsection “Training Resources”  of the GAP 70+(URCC13059) protocol page, are manuals, training slides and testing materials.  You will need to review these prior to participating in training with URCC.

Email Libby Nagalski for possible training dates and times.  Libby will send you the specifics about the sessions and preparing for them. This training is required prior to implementing the study.

URCC13070Improving Communication for Cancer Treatment in Older Patients is approved and available for download and submission to your IRB.   The study chair for this protocol is Supriya Mohile, MD, MS, a geriatric oncologist at the University of Rochester Cancer Center.  This is the second of the two geriatric studies we are doing.

The protocol and supporting study documents are posted on our website.  You will need to LOG IN with your CCOP login and password in order to download these documents.  If you have any difficulty with this process, please contact Sebastien Estaque at 585.275.2044 or Steve Marshall at 585.273.2547.

IMPORTANT NOTE-PLEASE READLike the other geriatric study recently made available [URCC13059], this study was discussed at our annual meeting in September and some preliminary training was done during the Thursday night coordinators’ session.  More detailed training for staff who will be involved in this study is required prior to your site beginning accrual.  We will be setting up training sessions electronically through GoToMeeting.  Libby Nagalski will be coordinating that training. More details will follow.

Submit your IRB approval documents to Cathy Lesniewski as usual.  Once we have your IRB approval and your staff have completed the training, we will activate the study.  

Credit for this protocol is 1.3 credits/dyad (patient and caregiver combination).

New Amendment for 10055: Cognitive Function Study Available PDF Print E-mail

To CCOP/MBCCOP Investigators and Staff:

Amendment 4 is now available for URCC10055: ASSESSMENT OF COGNITIVE FUNCTION IN BREAST CANCER AND LYMPHOMA PATIENTS RECEIVING CHEMOTHERAPY AT PRE-TREATMENT, POST-TREATMENT, AND AT SIX MONTH FOLLOW-UP.  

This amendment creates a substudy of 200 participants  who will be assessed at 2 additional time points (at one year following Assessment 2 and at two years following Assessment 2) for breast cancer patients and their paired controls.

Study documents have been posted on our website and are available for you to download and submit to your IRBs  You will need to LOG IN with your CCOP login and password in order to download these documents.  If you have any difficulty with this process, please contact Sebastien Estaque at 585-275-2044 or Steve Marshall at 585-273-2547.

Under the “Regulatory Forms” section for URCC10055, you will be able to download:

  • The new protocol
  • The summary of changes
  • The new consent form
  • A PDF file containing all the study forms

In addition to the changes to the protocol and consent form, we have updated the headers of all the data collection forms with “Version Amd 4.” Upon approval at your site, use only these forms.

Instructions on how to create the CANTAB battery of tests for Assessment 4 are available in the “Supporting Documents” section.

NEW: You may enroll patients eligible for the Substudy by filling out the registration form using the usual "Register a subject" link from the main menu and choosing "10055 Cognitive Substudy" as the protocol.

NCI will be giving 0.3 follow-up credits/participant.
